Fashion/Editorial Make-Up | 2 Week Course
This course offers intensive training in all areas relevant to fashion make-up and is typically taken by people who wish to work in fashion and commercial work. Most applicants take this course as a 3 week module, including the 1 week Fashion Hairdressing.
The course includes one day of portfolio, where you will create looks on two female models.

Creating make-up for camera (understanding studio lighting)
Foundation, concealer and powder (types and applications)
Shading and highlighting (types and applications)
Day 2
Eyebrows and eyebrow correction
Lip shapes and lip shape correction
Eye shapes and eye shape correction
Straight corrective make-up for camera
Day 3
Natural make-up for high fashion close up photography (no make-up looks, matt & dewy/ shimmer & colour)
Careers work (cv’s, composition cards, marketing, Advertising, unions, nsurance, Protocol, tax, NI, go sees, castings, networking, contacts, invoicing & fees)
Day 4
Bridal make-up (services, advertising & fees)
Evening make-up
High fashion eye make-up styles, techniques & product Knowledge
Day 5
Make-up for black & white photography (film)
Classic catwalk uniform make-up
Eyelash application
Eyeliner (gel, cake, fluid, pencil & kohl)

Current trend make-up (creating looks under direction to a brief)
Camouflage make-up

Cosmetic airbrushing

20 minute make-up applications to a brief
Body make-up (inc corrective make-up, foundation applications, muscle definition, shading & hand make-up)

Mature model make-up
Black, Asian & oriental make-up
Working on set (set protocol, where stand, working with monitors, polaroid’s, final checks, working with camera crews and photographers, understanding set equipment & terms & hHealth and safety on set)
