Mae Teo Mae started her hairdressing career in Manchester with a young progressive independent salon “Michael Mawson” where session work and competition work was constantly carried out. In the late 90’s, Mae then went to train further with Toni & Guy in Manchester and since then has continually increased her skill base gaining further training, experience and qualifications alongside some of the industries leaders. These include Wella and L’oreal; as well as working with independent salons, such as HOB (London) and Windel for Bumble and Bumble. Mae moved to a very well established group of salons in and around the Manchester and Cheshire areas, “Barard Hairdressing” where she ran the Training school and became an NVQ Assessor. In 2005 Mae returned to Toni & Guy to work as Style Director as well as being the salon’s trainer and NVQ Assessor. A move out of Manchester saw the opportunity to own and run a highly successful and innovative salon in Buxton, Derbyshire. The salon was artistically led and was the area’s first independent national award winning salon . The salon won a place at the Grand Final of the L’oreal Colour Trophy 2007, winning the North West Men’s Image Award, and won a place as Regional Finalist in 2009. |
