Ex graduates are invited to attend, free of charge, a speaker day hosted by a visiting specialist (normally a makeup designer ) where you will be given the chance to hear about their experiences and answer any questions you may have.

Carol Churchill

Carol ChurchillCarol started her career at the BBC at Pebble Mill, Birmingham studios.

She has over 30 years experience and started work on productions such as Angels, All Creatures Great and Small, Old Curiosity Shop, Great Expectations, Nuts In May, Howards Way, and many Plays For Today.

In recent years she has designed on many productions such as God On The Rocks, Beecham, The Gingerbread Girl, "Chiller" Here Comes The Mirror Man, How We Used To Live, Falling....

Carol has established herself as one of the industry’s top Make Up Designers on many shows including 3 years on The Royal. She began working on one of the UK's most popular soaps Emmerdale in 2000 as Makeup Artist and Supervisor and for the last 4 years she has held the position of Make-Up Designer.

Joyce Dean

Joyce DeanJoyce started her career at BBC Make-Up School in 1982. She has gone on to become a highly regarded Make-Up Designer with over 27 years experience in the industry, covering a broad range of genre including film, drama, soap, ballet & opera.

Her extensive credits include: Last of the Summer Wine, The Lakes, Where the Heart is, Phoenix Nights, A Simple Man, Beggars Opera, The Greek, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Heartbeat, The Royal, A Touch of Frost, Survivors, Elizabeth 1st, Alfie, Stars in Their Eyes & Unforgiven.
